Appearance of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu

Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu appeared at Sridham Mayapur,in the side bank of the Nawadipa in Bengal, on the Phalguni Purnima evening in the year of 1486 AD.His Father, Sri Jagannatha Mishra,a learned brahmana from the district of sylhet,came to Nwadipa as a student. He lived on the banks of ganges with his wife Srimati Sachidevi,the daughter of Srilla Nilambara Chakrabarty, a great  learned scholar of Nawadipa.Their youngest son, who was named Vishvambhara,later became knows as Nilam Pandita and then, after accepting the renounced order of life , Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu .
